Children: Dr. Ian Cawich, Demetrio Cawich and Pablo Joaquin Cawich
A State Funeral took place on 13 August 2003, with official business in the country momentarily halted, and the funeral held at the George Price Centre in Belmopan, followed by burial at the Belmopan Cemetery.
The burial included full honours including a 21-gun salute.
1998 - 2003 - Cawich served as the PUP Area Representative for the Cayo South constituency in the House of Representatives (Belize) until his death on 8 August 2003.
Agripino “Pino” Cawich died on 8 August 2003 in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he was receiving treatment for cancer.
His body was repatriated to Belize and arrived at the Philip Goldson International Airport with military honours before being transported by motorcade to Belmopan.
