Canon Jerris Jones Valentine Sr.

It is with heavy and full hearts that we announced the death of Canon Jerris Jones Valentine Sr., a former teacher, principal. and Chaplin of the Belize Defence Force.

At the time of his passing, Canon Valentine was survived by his:

Wife of 54 years: Lorraine Barbara Diego Valentine
Sister: Lorita Valentine Haylock
Children: Dahlia Valentine Davis, Lydia Valentine, Erica Valentine Nunez, Jeremy Valentine Cayetano, Pamela Taylor, Sinu Valentine Sr., Narissa Valentine, Clive Jones Valentine, and Anigi Valentine Jr.
Aunt: Eleanor Lambey
Uncle: Prosperous Castillo
Nieces: Danette Yolaine, Agatha Devon, and Danielle Haylock Roberts
Nephew: McEvoy Valentine
Brothers-in-law: Danold Haylock and Errol Diego
Sisters-in-law: Yvette Diego Garcia and Emily Chaney
He was also survived by 22 grandchildren
Great grandchildren: Briella, A’Sieah, Damien, Claude, Elijah, and Nazeem

He is missed by the Dangriga, Seine Bight, Hopkins, and Belize City Communities; his Belize Defense Force brothers and sisters; and the Churches, All Saints; Christ the King; St. Matthews; St. Jerome, and St. Monica, where he served, his YMSA Grandball brothers and sisters as well as his Lodge brothers and sisters.
