It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the Young, Wade and Bowen families announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, Mr. Carlton Young, affectionately known as “Cally Young.”
He was predeceased by his:
Mother: Hazel Wade Bowen
Father: Rodwell Young
Stepfather: James Bowen
Siblings: Merlene Jenkins and Jeffrey Bowen
Son: Lawrence Young.
He is survived by his:
Wife of 63 years: Ruthbell Young
Daughters: Joycelyn Young and Carolyn Pipersburgh, both of USA, and Diana Young of Belize
Sons: Harry Hendy, Calbert Young, Murton Young, and Kenton Young all of Belize, and Brian Young (USA); Special cousin: Ralton Young
28 Grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren
Brothers: Wendell Young, Raymond Young, Roy Bowen, and Joel Bowen, all of USA
Sisters: Laura Bowen and Constance Young, both of USA, and
a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends too numerous to mention.
The funeral service was held at Grace Chapel Church on Amara Avenue, on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.
Burial followed at Eternal Garden on the George Price Highway.
A repast was held at the Young’s residence on Larkspur Avenue, Belize City.
